Apologies if this thread has been done in the past.

I recently acquired a T205 Ford with a very cool ghost on the back (near complete silhouette). If I can overcome my technical illiteracy, I'll post a scan.

Perhaps more scrap than ghost, but still applies. And still haven't been able to identify the mystery man on the back...

I don't know if these are considered true T206 ghost overprints but IMO, they're neat looking cards.

Hi Robert.
Very nice card. I was one of the underbidders for it. Glad to see it went to someone here.
I think Mike's right that they came from the same sheet. Yours also has a man's head on it (upside down). I thought the images were from one of the Tolstoi military series, but, as I've said, I haven't been able to find a match.

Jamie

I won that Tolstoi on ebay for $ 25 . No scan of the back but the description said something like "Tolstoi back is poor because red ink stains and double print " !!!

Wow. Nice pickup Robert.
There must be a third one floating around then, because one sold on eBay a couple months ago for several hundred dollars.

Here is the one ghost I own. It has a ghost of Chief Meyers on the right margin, and a reverse of the Sweet Caporal back on the front as well.

It must be a problem with the scanner as to why I can't get mine posted. (I blame the razor when I cut myself shaving, too)

Great ghosts guys. Leon, I need a t209 Pope - your McGeehan is a tease. . Awesome card, though.

Casper on Cy was my big laugh of the day. Thanks, Paul

I liked your Casper on Cy also, how did you manage to do that?

Apparently that factory wasn't so good; they screwed up Obaks and Pet/Kopecs (multisports) too.

Glad that, and thanks to, those who got a laugh from the Caspar Young ghost print (afraid I'd fall flat on my face.)

Answer for Peter C. -- done in Photoshop.

*edited to add: A lot of those real ones are incredibly cool!

Here are 2 that I have in my collection! I would think you could complete a set of 1933 Goudey ghost prints, but I never see one when these type of threads are brought-up. Are 33 Goudey's so under-appreciated on this board?

On this next one, do not adjust your monitor settings. The picture is a true representation of the card and the grade. I'm not sure if it's really a ghost print. but this T205 is definitely one of my favorite cards. It always reminds me of the competence of some of the "so-called" professional card graders.

That T-205 is great...

However, isn't that Goudey just bleed through from the red printing on the front (and not a ghost / wet sheet transfer)?

In regards to the 1933 Goudey, I have always been under the impression that it is not bleeding but an aftereffect of the printing process (one sheet on top of another). I'm sure I will stand corrected if I'm wrong.

And in regards to the T205, I forgot to mention that you're suppose to look at it with 3-D glasses. Sorry about that, so "Glasses On" everybody!

Iggy, that T205 is fantastic.

I have a Jennings that's similar - not quite as pronounced with the registration as yours, but makes my eyes bug out nonetheless. I can't bring myself to replace it.
