Default Jimmie Foxx Autograph

Good evening,

As you may or may not know, I am in the market for a low budget Jimmie foxx signature... If you have one that is mattable, please PM me with a photo & asking price...

Anyhow, this one just surfaced on ebay, and the seller took a pretty defensive stance when I asked him about authenticity etc... I have come across cards with the facsimile signature "Jimmy" but have not seen one that is a true autograph "jimmy" anyhow, I admit that I am a novice auto collector but love the items i have purchased none the less... I was hoping to get some opinions on this one despite my bad (possible wrong) gut feeling...

THanks in advance for your he

He didn't sign 'Jimmy' too often so that's certainly a red flag. However, the other autographs in the book that I'm familiar with look good and it's quite an elaborate story with all of those page notations for it to be fraudulent.

I have seen a few signed "Jimmy" but as you said, they are somewhat rare and almost all seem to be signatures at the ballpark during his playing career and that seems to have been his hurried signature of preference. He is not rare at all and if you are patient you will find one you like for the price you want!
