Default FS: Connie Mack w/6 of his All-Time Greats at 50 years Tribute

This vintage wire photo shows Connie Mack with six of the players he named to his All-Time Team on the ocassion of the celebration of his 50th anniversary as a manager in August 1944.

The players are: Bill Dickey, George Sisler, Frank Baker, Lefty Grove, Honus Wagner and Walter Johnson.

The stamping on the reverse is hard to see in this scan, but it is the 1940's International News Photo stamp which includes
"THIS PHOTO SUPPLIED BY" and "A UNIT OF KING FEATURES SYND."
The stamp is clearly visible in person. The stamped date is August 8, 1944.

Measures 6.5 x 8.5. Very good condition. A few creases at the corners, in the border.
This same image and an article about the day's activities can be found at
http://philadelphiaathletics.org/a-1...o-connie-mack/

Asking $65 $55 ppd.
