Default cleaning baseball cards

Posted By: ed jean

Is there a cleaning solution or someone who cleans baseball cards?

I had existing cards held in plastic sheets. I put printed paper
in front of the cards. I now find that the paper has adhered to
the front of the cards. When the paper was pulled off, the print on the back of the paper stuck itself to the front.

The cards involved are minor cards (worth ten cents to twenty-five).
However, they are part of my collection and I would like to restore
them to their original collection.

I would appreciate any help or advice as to what I can do.

I'm no expert, and don't know whether the cards can be cleaned safely or not.
But even if they can, I can't imagine it would be "cost effective" in this case.
If the cards are worth ten to twenty-five cents apiece, I would just replace them.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately they are all minor league cards
from 1980 to 1989. Chances in duplicating them would be astronimical.

There are several dealers that sell minor league cards from the 1980's. The cost of replacing your cards would depend on how many you have. If you want more information about these dealers, send me an email.

I have 63 cards I am trying to replace. They are all Yankee players.
Your idea is intriguingt, If I cannot find any other solution, I would
like to try the dealeraq you suggest. I would appreciate your lists.
I have found that most have sets ant singles. But it should be worth
a try. Thanks.

Below you will find several dealers that sell minor league cards. Some of the dealers concentrate on singles, while others sell team sets. Only you know whether or not your cards are part of team sets.

Just to warn you, I would be very surprised if you are able to replace your cards at 5 or 25 cents each. You can expect to pay $1 or $1.50 for each card, unless your cards are part of a team set.

I have dealt with the first two dealers listed, as well as the last one listed. I cannot vouch for the others.

Have you tried loking on ebay for replacement sets? I'd have to figure that there probably wont be many people selling the sets because the cost of shipping most of the sets probably exceeds the value of the sets.
