Default N172 - Bid McPhee & Others

Posted By: Eric B

I was at a card store this morning. I looked at a few N172's. He said the good ones were at home. mentioned that he had an SGC 10 or 20 Bid McPhee. He remembered the price was $2,000.

So, is that a good price if it's a 20, assuming the image isn't faded? Or does it need to be the catching pose?

Also, he had some nice dark images at SGC 10 for $100 of Shoch, O'Day, and Clark/Hughes and a nice SGC 20 Tip O'Neil for $250. Any of those good prices?

The SGC 40 of Flint was $150, but it was faded pink style and the SGC A of O'Connor was $600. I think those were too high.

Prices quoted seem ball-park, neither great nor bad. Really need to see the cards. Everyone collects with a slightly different focus, buy what you like if the price is in the ball-park as you may not see another one for awhile.

Best Regards,
Joe G.

Eric,

Can you get a picture or a scan of the McPhee and cards with darker images (Hughes/Clark)? Could you pick up these cards at anytime?

Let me know - Thanks,

Fred

Updated to add that the 3 SGC 10's did have faults - Small holes and/or paper loss. But I should have known - why else would they be 10's. I need to bring my glasses with me at all times happy.gif

But I still liked the Clark/Hughes, so I picked it up.

The McPhee has a fault, but he couldn't remember it. I'll check, but it looks fairly priced if it's similar to the others.

Thanks for the help. I like the OJ's, but haven't purchased any in awhile.

I've been looking for a McPhee for a while. That price seems pretty good to me.
