How rare? how many known examples? any cards scarcer than others?

Quite rare. The sepia type 1s are super rare and I estimate less than 50 known in the hobby. *(total guess)..They will be 6k-8k and up in decent condition. The type 2s are color cards and not as scarce. They go for 1k-3k each, generally. And yes, this was a question better suited for the front page of the forum, which is specifically for pre-wwII baseball cards.
