Default T202 Willett/Stanage.

Am I missing something here? I'm wondering why this card is being ignored. I don't have a T202 yet, and have been half looking for one (although not too high on my list). This would be a great bargain if I weren't so bothered by the fact that no one has bid on it.

I've done a little bit of side by side with some other pics of graded 202's, and can't find anything that jumps out at me as being not right.

Comments? Thanks.

Joann

Ok, I'm by far not an expert on the T202 but my guess would simply be price. Again, I may be wrong but with that crease down the center; $50.00 seems like a high price to me?

Thanks Jon. I don't pay that close of attention to the 202's to have a good feel for where the dangers might be, or where price/condition levels are. I usually see them at higher prices than $50 but don't know exactly how condition fits into it. You are right, even though these often have center creases, this one is pretty substantial when you look at the enlarged pic.

I apologize if I violated any live-auction post protocol, especially if someone was watching this card. But I geuninely was/am thinking of grabbing it just to have a 202 for my collection of Detroit players, and wanted to get some opinions - I didn't even think of the live-auction thing until after I'd posted and rec'd response.

Joann,

I just did a search of "buy it now" t202s on eBay and came up with 11 cards, almost all in as good a shape as the t202 in question, listed between $50-$75 each. Some include stars (a Bobby Wallace on an end panel, a John McGraw on a center panel, etc.), and all are available from reputable dealers like Mike Wheat, etc. who have far more positive feedback than the seller you are considering. The lack of feedback is probably a big reason for the lack of bids. I didn't see any Tigers, though ...

If you read closely the cards has 2 creases so would not grade higher than Good, that is why the $50 is borderline. It is very nice looking though.
