Default T206 trim question?

Just got this in the mail. Kind of disturbing how much it moves around in the holder top to bottom can anyone tell me if that is normal for that type of corner wear and ease my fear. Haha I'm obviously nowhere near an expert but love T206s so for that fact I stick simply to graded. But if it's trimmed it'll ruin even that.

Nothing looks out of line on the T206 Eddie Collins in your link. The corners are rounded and somewhat uneven, but it looks well within the normal size range. And the card is nice looking for the grade...sometimes rounded corners are the economical choice.

Dunno, the corner wear is WEIRD, and while there is certainly a range of acceptable sizes on T206 the total size of the top and bottom border combined and the fact that it's loose would at least concern me.

Have to admit it would be nice to see close up scans of the borders/corners...I am going cross-eyed trying to see what is going on.

Worn corners with the apparent lack of normal fraying is a concern.

It's been in an album at one time, the corners are similar to ones seen exposed to moisture and the stock gets a bit more soft, chipping away rather than wearing.

Interesting, thanks....Not sure I have seen that happen the way it looks, legitimately. Kind of like the wavy, natural borders on T201s we spoke about a while back.

It looks fine to me. The size varies a lot, it's the overall shape of the edge that is the key. The corners are a bit odd, but I think a bit of it might be the scan. And they aren't odd enough that I'd be worried. If someone could trim an edge so it would pass, why would they then put things in reverse and wear the corners?

What sizes get through grading is a bit of a puzzle, I have one that was rejected as being undersize top to bottom, but in the same group one graded that was narrower than the other was short. Both are factory.

Basically, just relax and enjoy the card, it's a nice one.
