Default Which auction house for golf memorabilia

Posted By: jackgoodman

Was wondering if anyone knew an auction house or major dealer that was familiar enough to handle golf memorabilia, clubs, tournament items, autographs, etc? Didn't want to muck up the regular thread with a non-baseball question. Thanks all.

Thanks for the response Keith. Is he the only "golf" game in town tho? Is anyone aware of anyone else that would fit the bill? I'd like to have a choice if possible.

Try John & Judy Burk's Collectible Classics the next time. I do recall some golf related items.

Maybe you are aware of this but I would try the GolfCollectorsSociety website. If it's really old stuff I would send it to England. Some places may be better for clubs and some may be better for the memorabilia.

Jack --

There are a bunch of auction houses that would love to consign your golf memorabilia. Besides Mastro & REA, try these (not in any particular order):

Southbys/SCP auctions
Grey Flannel
Heritage
Lelands
Christie's (International Sports division)
Hunt
Geppi's Memorabilia Road Show
Morphy's (division of Geppi's)
Hakes (division of Geppi's)
Regency-Superior

Good luck,
Alan

Didn't mean to bump this thread, but unavoidable if I wanted to thank those that offered suggestions.
