Default Vintage "Mustache" card thread

Haha, There are so many great vintage mustache cards!

Please share some of your favorites. I like the 1977 Wayne Garland.

I wanted to add a question.

When (and who) were the first cards that showed players with mustaches?

Mustaches were common for 19th century baseball cards. Half of the players on the 1869 Peck & Snyder Reds card had mustaches. Many of the Old Judges and other 19th century baseball card featured mustaches. By the 1909-11 t206 set, only one card, Titus, featured a mustache as styles had changed.

I think the '71 Rich Allen and '72 Reggie Jackson were the first in the modern era. Tons of facial hair from the 1973 set onward.

Post #6 is correct. I did a little research on this a few years ago in this thread:

Not really in the same league as Wayne Garland or the Mad Hungarian but I wanted to keep the thread going.

Impressive. That mustache extends all the way up to Gary's eyebrows.

Not one mention of Rollie Fingers yet. Perhaps his was a little less manly with the styling?

Possibly the best mustache in all of baseball. Already posted but it deserves another look.
