Dear Collector,
I would like to welcome you to Masterpieces & Uncommon Commons LXV.
We proudly present a historic find of Fleischmann Bakery cards which includes Hall of Famers Cobb, Mathewson, Speaker and Stengel. Most of these cards are the only graded examples or only one of two cards known to exist. Fleischmann Bakery has an inspiring history to say the least. It is the story of immigrants who established a successful bakery in the United States known for their Viennese Bread. Their generosity during the American Great Depression in the 1930s helped create the term, "Bread Line."

Our first offering is a breathtaking 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle graded PSA 7 Near Mint. This card was recently graded and is one of the last of the Mantle cards from the Al Rosen unopened find to be encapsulated. Everything you would expect to find on a high end card is visible including sharp pointed corners, brilliant color and focus with new shiny gloss. This is just one of five 1952 Topps Mantles represented in our catalog, all of which are outstanding for their technical grades.
Displayed in Lot 2 is a superior example of a Roberto Clemente rookie card, graded PSA 8, with perfect centering and four sharp corners. A classic Charles Conlon type 1 photo of Joe Jackson follows the Clemente rookie with equal rarity and hobby importance.
Collectors will find sterling examples of signed checks by Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe and a double signed Babe Ruth personal check! Mint examples of rookie cards offered are Johnny Unitas, Carl Yastrzemski, Lou Brock, Willie Stargell, Joe Morgan and Thurmon Munson.
A dazzling 1952 New York Yankees World Series ring from the renown Bert Padell collection is not to be missed! A mint condition historical artifact that would highlight any collection in the hobby. This is merely brushing the surface of the catalog offerings with many more collector treasures to be discovered.
