Default Help identifying a Foxx item

Posted By: Bob Ivanjack

Not to out an ongoing Ebay auction but a friend asked if the board could help in identifying this Jimmy (Jimmie) Foxx item - is it merely a 5"x7" photo issued after his playing days or, as the seller states, a premium of some sort. Thanks in advance for the help.

It's hard to tell the card stock from the scan but it looks like a photo to me. I wonder why the seller thinks it could be a premium? I see no obvious signs why it would be one. regards

For comparison I did acquire these two "photo premiums" and they do have signs of possibly being a premium....but I can't say for sure...

Great find and great items. Have never seen them (and checked Copeland and Halper catalogs) but would tend to agree due to the facsimile autographs.

I am with Leon, I think the Foxx is a photo. Bob may consider it a premium as that pose is used on a few cards and premiums I believe.

The guy behind Leon's Gehrig is quite the camera hound though.
