Default 1888 SF Hess N321 Ryan

I am selling a very tough extremely low population 1888 SF Hess N321 Ryan. Card is graded an SGC Authentic. Great colors. I will take offers on this. Only selling because I am not into Authentic graded cards. Sold

I would pay $300. If interested please email me at oldjudge@gmail.com. That was one that recently came off EBay, wasn't it?

Thanks--Jay

$300 for a card that sold for $1400. Pretty funny.

Did some of them get numerical grades? Are you expecting to sell it for more? Just wondering. Still a pretty card. Looks a little bow cut on that one side. Guess that's what got it versus the T & T on the back. Good luck!

$1400 was a strong price if the card was sound. However, now you know it isn't. I assume you would not have paid $1400 if you knew what you know now. I would assume that trimming is the reason for the Scarlet Letter which changes everything. Given that, I think my bid makes sense.

Old Judge, I guess I paid $1100 over market because you seem to be very well versed in it. If you offer consulting services for cards please let me know so myself and others can ask your advice on what they should buy and they wouldn't lose money. I personally look to buy cards so they depreciate at least 75% in a few weeks.

The most common card in the set (J. Smith) has seven graded examples combined on both registries. An SGC "A" sold in 2012 for $896.

This Ryan card has only two other examples known (one sold as part of a near complete set and presumably no longer available in the market). I would assume, as a casual collector of these type of cards that this would be as valuable, if not more. But I'm no expert.
