Gabby Hartnett, 1932 Fleer "Whiz Bang Gum"....apparently these were not known to exist until a find a few years ago...only 3 baseball cards in set, Grove, Goslin and Hartnett... only 4 Hartnetts in all and this is only one graded. No idea of ultimate value but fun...The two tiny holes in his cheeks were to hold string, for hanging card? pulling it like a kite?

This is my new favorite "card" in my Pittsburgh collection. I've seen it a couple of times, but never with this particular ad back:

Thanks Jay. Yeah, I was pretty much "all-in" on it with a substantial max bid.

Cool cards Marty! Nice to see other Pittsburgh collectors out there.

+2 on centering. Personally I think it makes cards looks so much better than others with regular centering. Gorgeous card, congrats on that addition.

Able to snag this one off the Bay (PWCC) from the recent high grade set.

Interesting that there are no 9s or 10s ever graded by PSA or SGC for the entire series.

Sooooo psyched to add my newest card. A real toughie. Hi Bell died in 1949, so only a 15yr window to sign the card. Now at 81/96

Happy winning the lot of 85 E90-1 in Heritage last night.

Of course, mainly going to be dupes (maybe some upgrades) .....

.... However, added 8, to bring total to 111 Including the semi tough Buster Brown, and Dougherty. As well as the "image tough" Dots "Big Glove / Hit it to my Right" Miller......

.............. BUT .................. THIS IS THE BIG ONE:

Clarke.jpg

Tough, tough, tough, tough card. I mean tough.

When I get it in hand, be interesting what's up with "Pitts" printing,

Fun stuff, Scott

BTW, tough card

Very happy to pick this one up, especially at the price......a card I've been really wanting for a while.

Will also have a new stack of EPDGs that I will have to sort through.

So far my collection is almost exclusively post-war, but apparently I got lost yesterday and ended up in the pre-war world and bought myself a Merkle at a local shop.
