Speaking about the T206 Plank.....
The Philadelphia A'S new Stadium, Shibe Park, opened on April 12, 1909. Eddie Plank beat the Boston AL team. Allowing them just 6 Hits and only 1 Run. Doc Powers was Eddie Plank's preferred battery-mate for many years. Powers became sick during this game; however, he caught the entire game. Unfortunately, two weeks later Doc passed away due to an intestinal infection. > > > > TED Z T206 Reference . Last edited by tedzan; 04-27-2022 at 09:05 PM. Reason: Corrected typo. |

Thanks Pat,
Yesterday was a long day for me, and by the end of it my mind got the "Doc's" mixed up. At least I had the presence of mind to post the card of Doc Powers TED Z T206 Reference . |
