"The offered '7' ranks among the finest examples we've brokered in our tenure and is also among the hobby's finest copies."

I'd hate to see the ones they've brokered which were not among the finest examples in their tenure.

This entire conversation is like my biggest nightmare. So glad I didnt even attempt this one. Just dreading the day I buy something expensive and someone says "Moron!" I had someone say that on a smaller item a ways back, but if it were $10k, i would have an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.

To paraphrase the great Don Rickles, if that card is “all around fantastic” I have cataracts.

Probably faded from light. Maybe sitting in a display under direct lights. Heritage sold a group of these cards earlier this year. They must have all been from the same collection.

Here's the link to the heritage sale earlier this year. Description does mention it was kept in an open display.

Heritage acknowledges the card's colors were faded by exposure to light, PWCC claims it's one of the best cards they've ever sold - and one of the best Goudey Ruths in the entire hobby! Seems like someone might be lying. Again.

I'm not sure why the UV Protection infused PSA CASE did not prevent this from happening?
