Default 1921 Pathes Freres Phonograph - Babe Ruth

Recent pick up from the BST.....That place has some cool stuff sometimes...I have been able to research and find 1-2 previous sales. Anyone else see any? I think this one has a slight trim but I don't mind. I thought it was too neat of a pose to pass up and it fills another obscure hole in the collection.....regards

Hmm... 1921. Who does the armband memorialize?

Photo was probably taken in 1920. Did the Yankees wear armbands for Ray Chapman?

Leon, I've seen one I think sold in a Mastro auction several years ago. I have the record that this piece came with.

Leon, here's the auction from 1995. They had some great stuff in this auction.

Thanks so much for posting that......So the armband was worn in remembrance of Ray Chapman, who got hit by a pitch and killed, about a month earlier. Very interesting......regards
