Default The Kraken monthly flow

Being that the E90-1 collecting base is nowhere as large as that of the T206, I have decided that I would give this thread a bump every month or so if no activity as a reminder to all who do collect it or are interested. The Monster needs no provoking, while the Kraken quite often reacts when poked with a pointy stick

Gorgeous card, Leon - I am mostly a lower-grade collector but this was actually a card I had planned to find in better condition. It's one of my favorite cards in the set. But for $30, I couldn't resist the urge to add it for now and upgrade later.

On kind of a mini E90-1 run this week. Picked up four more, including the Leach throwing for another six points and a bump up to 64.

Thanks

Welcome aboard Jason...it is always suggested to take the Kraken for a test spin before committing, and Mullin and Sweeney are fine choices.

Picked up a Keeler throwing for 3 more points so that gets me to 141. Now the fun really begins.

Haven't added to my E90-1 set in a little while but did pick up this interesting looking one a little while ago. You don't see a ton of E90-1 scraps out there but I believe this one qualifies. The borders from left to right are jumbo-sized, it has a hand-cut bottom border, and that's on top of the color shift from the top down.

I like the blue aura Howell is giving off.

Thanks, Brian - didn't realize but I've actually added a few cards since my last count. Up to 82 different cards in all and my new number is 96. This Marquard just came in this week and is my latest one.

Man, been a while since an update for me. But I picked up the Cy Young Boston a few months ago and, today, got this Sweeney. Nine more points has me up to 209 with only six cards remaining. Slowly chipping away.

Here's the latest addition.

This Sweeney is my favorite of the two Sweeney cards in the set (different players). I love its different look. Way to narrow it down to the final six cards Anson, and congrats on the Cy Young Boston...another great card.

Thanks Patrick for posting the link to your E90-1 plate scratch album. It is nice to know that other sets than T206 suffered from these potential sheet arrangement markings. Someday I will check my other cards to see if I have any others...maybe eventually someone can put things together and figure out card placement/printing patterns.

Well, there are some e90-1s that are miscut enough to probably help a little, if I remember correctly.
