50 posts seems like a good spot to start a second list.

The Shoeless Joe caricature reminded me to post these images, from 1923 Live Wires of Chicago. Not sure if there are other baseball players

My first Ju-Ju Drum. I'm sure I overpaid but you know how I love the "Deacon".

Just back from SGC. Boy are they tough!

Edited to say that the grade appears to be the result of paste residue and slight paper loss on reverse. I have found that SGC is extremely harsh on paste residue.

Finally won an Agnew Purple Bases B18!

Unless an odd color combination B18 pops up, my collection of catcher B18s with white infields is complete.

Another variation I needed and a Broadleaf back! I'm exactly halfway through the set! Low grade cards (especially HOF) wanted!

Dan,

Nice Weaver -- was in from Clean Sweep? Are you going to grade it?

Quan:

I almost went for that REA M101-5 lot just because it was such a good deal, but I was deep into some other lots. I ducked out about three bids before the final bid, but I am glad to see you replaced your Sisler card. I doubt that the Hornsby card will ever be on the market in my lifetime. Feel free to look at it ever once in awhile.

Is that Cy Young or Irv Young? Looks a lot like the T206 Irv Young...

thanks everyone, believe me it still hurts...

Sean, Briggs Candy probably put the picture of Irv by mistake for Cy Young...but considering how rare the card is and what I paid I only see Cy!

Picked this up at a local antique store yesterday for dirt cheap. They had others, but I want to get more information on the series before I commit. The artwork looks very similar to other series in the latter half of the 1880s (Duke "Terrors," N28s, N29s, N165s, etc.). I know they are probably a Duke N-Series, but does anyone have any idea what series they are and what year(s) they were produced?

I picked this one up from Josh from the boards. Met him at Sportsfest on Saturday and got it then. There were a few cards that caught my eye at the show, but I ended up leaving them all there. I've got one more incoming, a McGinnity GAI 2, and will hopefully win a few others tonight that I can post. I haven't scanned this yet, so I'm just using the ebay pics. Thanks Josh!

I will be keeping this piece, in spite of the cost and heavy damage. Pardon the large size. Leon, please resize if need be.

Quan and Richard:

I'll make sure on my death bed that you each have my son's number (I just have one heir right now) so that hopefully one of you guys can work out a deal.

By the way, right now I feel great and my last physical was A-OK. Sometimes I drive to fast, so you've got that going for you.
