Default July 25, 1941 --- 70 Years Ago Today.....

On this date in history, Lefty Grove won his 300th game. Lefty had a tough time getting to #300. He lost several games leading up to #300. Win #300 was not easy in and of itself. It looked as if the Red Sox were not going to win that game. But the manager left him in there and Jimmie Foxx saved the day and the Red Sox won the game giving Lefty #300.

We had a Lefty Grove show-and-tell a few weeks ago.... So today, in his honor, let's show cards and photos of your favorite LEFT-HANDED pitcher. Once again, it doesn't have to be Lefty Grove.

Here is a card and photo of my favorite Lefty.....

My favorite, because he attended my alma mater.
