Can anyone shed some light on this postcard. Picked it up a few years ago. Not sure if reprint or authentic?

Thanks for help!

Neal

It looks okay to me.

edit: check it with a blacklight if you have one. (hard to tell reprint/original from the scan - easier in person)

There are actually a few versions of that postcard.

Here is the one I have
(slightly different on top....McGraw is a different size / position)....
I picked this one up from our moderator dude.

Default Real Giants Postcard??

When I first started collecting stadium postcards, I was surprised by how many early 20th century Polo Grounds postcards I saw. At first I figured they were fakes, but later I discovered they're just very common. Yankee Stadium postcards from the same era seem to be quite common as well as a few others. Other ballparks, like Ebbets Field and Fenway Park, seem much tougher to find in vintage postcards ...

By the way, I've seen Polo Grounds postcards with postmarks from the late 30s ... and they still have the McGraw photo in the corner (he died in '34). Like the Dodgers postcards from the early 1960s (which were still on sale in the 1980s), they must have made a ton of them ...

I've seen them go for anywhere between $25-$90

so, $50 would be a good value guess.

I think it is somewhere around there (although, admittedly - its been a while since I have tracked pricing on this card).

I would say the value is more in the $15-$20 range...that's a very common postcard.
