Default Joe Jackson remains red hot in these current auctions!

Are the rest of you noticing the continued transcendence of his cards? The market has slowed in many ways and as we’ve seen some correction his playing years memorabilia and cards are still escalating!

Almost like people just figured out...he was good!

That hideous hand cut yellow back ground card is being flipped almost weekly! Next to his RC, must be the second ugliest card in the planet. Who cares? Buy it now

You wonder what values would be if he had been in T206 and there were thousands more of his cards out there.

This didn’t actually happen nor was said by Jackson…I read a great book on Jackson and it detailed the whole 1919 scandal with courtroom reports, too. This infamous encounter and dialogue with a kid on the courthouse steps never actually happened. Jackson and another person traveling together from court to a car after corroborated this didn’t happen. It was fabricated by the newspaper reporter to push the narrative of Jackson's involvement, which until his death he continually denied and his WS stats also proved his innocence, as did his acquittal.

This Joe Jackson photo to W514 card progression I found on the web nicely rebuts the previous hideous remark.

These Jackson’s used to but under appreciated and under valued but in the last 18 months they have really exploded in price and keeps going up even while under prices on other players have slowed down. (Although the Wagner Portrait cards continue to go wild

Now that would be neat. BTW, Todd would know better than me but I was under the impression that no SF salesman's sample was unique.

Edited because I don’t want to comment on cards that are in live auctions.

His story seems to keep reaching more and more wide in time and people excited or hoping to add a playing years example. I must admit the intrigue gets me I like reading anything and everything pre war baseball history.

Here’s a neat Joe Jackson playing days card analysis and thread I started which has some fantastic Net54 contributions. Check it out to learn and see more.

Any thoughts on lou gehrig rookie? Seems to be really cooling off based on last two sales in heritage. Any thoughts?

Was it a Conlon photo? I believe another board member did some research and discovered many of the images in the W514 set are from Conlon's.

Only other Jackson cards I am aware from the year of the Scandal (1919) are both virtually unavailable (Felix Mendlesohn and Playball notebook). any others out there

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

Not that I knew it previously, but it appears it is indeed a Conlon photo that was auctioned by REA a few years back, as seen in this link:
