Default Vintage Memoribilia Room Photos

Since I was taking updated photos for Joe's site, and inspired by Mike's office photos, I figured I would share photos of my vintage memoribilia room (mostly football). I relocated my home office to a smaller room in a newly renovated part of my basement, and hadn't really taken photos until now. The larger room in the basement is all Eagles, which I'll share at another time.

Sorry if there are too many photos, or if they are too big

This shelf contains a Reach Melon football, a trophy ball from the 1919 Post WWI Military Football Tournament in Paris France (known as the AEF), a Morrill's Noseguard, etc.

This shelf contains my 1907 Spalding trophy football, an unmarked Melon Football, and a circa 1915-20 Dog Ear style Leather helmet.

On this shelf is my 1933 Princeton season trophy ball, an 1899 Lafayette-Lehigh trophy baseball, an 1880s Spalding Amateur figure 8 ball, etc.

Default favorite photo

Hmm, actually never thought about a favorite. I guess I would say the large imperial cabinet photo of the 1894 Princeton freshman football team. It is a Pach bros photo and it just has a cool look.

Wow! Great collection. Beautiful cabs and lotta TLC showing on those footballs. I am surmising that you dated the Princeton frosh photo as 1894 by the fact they're wearing Class of '98 jerseys. I think the N302 Princetons were all at least sophomores by autumn 1894 but I would love to have a closer look at that photo just in case one of the Mayo's mugs is in there.

Thanks guys, and David, yes you are correct in the reason for my dating it to '94. I will see if I have a better image of the photo and will email it to you if I do. I recall when I first picked it up about 5 years ago, having a tough time getting a good image of it as it was too big for my scanner and at the time my digital camera wasn't the best. If I don't have any that you can make the faces out well in, I'll try to take a better closeup now.

Very well done indeed!

I love the way you feature some balls on brass stands and the variety of frames you employed for your imperial cabinet photos.

A couple early football pennants would really pop among your amazing images, and won't set you back the way baseball pennants can. Sorry, I'm a complete pennant nerd

I don't collect football, but I LOVE it and would definately get into it if I had the resources and space.
