Default FYI....T206 UZIT confirmed list

NOTE.....important info for you front/back collectors of T206 team's, player's, or type cards.

The AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 cards and the UZIT cards are essentially matched pairs....that is, they have in common
identical fronts. Furthermore, these 2 backs are mutually exclusive with the BROAD LEAF 460 and Red HINDU cards.

This rule applies only to the 350/460 series cards.

Default Why T206 UZIT cards are very scarce

Gleaned from American Lithographic's (ALC) records (dated Spring of 1911) is information indicating that ALC was printing their new gold-bordered
cards (T80 Military Men) by then. Also, they were mixing them with T206 BB cards in UZIT cigarette packs (at Factory #30 NYC). Each cigarette
pack contained a T206 and a T80.

Therefore, the reason why the UZIT T206's are very scarce is that these cards were produced at the tail-end of the T206 run (i.e., short-printed).

Default Additional Uzits

Ted,

I have in my collection Uzits of Geyer and Oldring [batting], neither of which I see on your lists above.

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much, this helps immensely. It isn't very often, anymore, that we get new inputs on these UZIT cards.

I have added Geyer and Oldring [batting] to the list.

Best regards,

Default Hi Sean

That's my "baby".

You're not the only guy here who likes that Merkle pose. I have only 7 versions of this card. The AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and the UZIT are the most significant ones.

But, I don't ever expect to compete with your Merkle run....it is incredible.

Ooh, I didn't realize that T80s came with Uzit backs, and I had forgotten that they came with Lenox backs. I just dug out my T80s and looked through them. Out of 31 cards, there are two Lenox backs and two Cairo Monopol, but no Uzits -- the rest are all Tolstoi.

.

OK guys
Listed here are the 19 subjects in the 460-only series that have yet to be confirmed with a UZIT back. My guess is that at
least 9 (if not all of them) of them will eventually be discovered.

Bergen (catching)
Bescher (arms above head)
Devore
Doyle (portrait)
Duffy
Ford
Frill
Gandil
Howell (hands at waist)
Hummel
McGraw (glove at hip)
Meyers (portrait)
Needham
Payne
Pfeffer
Smith (Brooklyn)
Stovall (bat)
Tannehill (Chicago)
Wheat

Your help here in finding some of these 19 cards with UZIT backs is greatly appreciated.

Default Hey Johnny

You never really know with "The Monster". However, recently the new UZIT cards that have been found were from the Exclusive 12 group.

So, I will go out on a limb and predict that the next UZIT that will be discovered will be either one of these......

Devore
Duffy
Ford
Gandil
Hummel
McGraw
Pfeffer
Tannehill
Wheat

Hi Shupep, you're right, you've found one of the cards that Ted lists as unconfirmed. Nice catch.

As for pricing, if you provide a scan we can give you some ideas about its value. It's hard to put a price on it without knowing its condition.
