Default Taking a minute to appreciate Ken Kendrick's insane collection.

I found these tucked away in a folder within my phone. I hadn't been collecting vintage at this point so I did not have a full appreciation of how nice these are. Please enjoy a few of the photos I took

P.S. - my personal favorite is the Joe Jackson. I love that card!

Those are certainly some amazing cards. I don't think I've ever seen a T206 that looks as "new" as that Christy Mathewson. It looks like someone just pulled it out of the cigarette pack and put it into the holder.

Looks like he's selling the Duke Snider rookie in Goldin.

Also, it's funny to me that these cards were apparently displayed in something akin to what my 8th grade science fair project looked like.

Amazing cards, though. Goodness.

How is Kaline a 10 with that centering? Or the 53 Mays which also seems to have a mark on the upper right border? As I have always maintained, a 10 is an artificial grade.

I still think PSA missed the boat by not awarding a '10*' which means the very best 10 that they ever graded. If another 10 beats it later on they could note that on the website in the cert look up feature and the owner of the former best 10 can at least say he used to have the best 10...

I'll be impressed when he gets some exceptional pre-1900 cards.

Amazing collection from the grade point and value perspective but there are obviously cards that have issues and are either over graded or should never have been graded but that is not isolated to just his collection. When you are buying those type of 9s and 10s I don't think authenticity is a priority. Hopefully our friend from the board, kickitup, won't read this.

Wonder why he is selling the Snider rookie.

I first noticed the 52 Topps Mays and wondered about the top right corner, but after I went on, similar looking borders exist in more than a few scans.

I did want to pipe in and say this - my camera shots were, unfortunately, not as good as I would have liked them to be. There was an official "no flash photography" along with no video recording, so I had to be sleuth-y about my photos. Gotta say, it was worth it. Either way, the cards looked absolutely fantastic in person. Pretty much every corner was spotless, regardless of scans.

After I seen the Mays, then the other ones with similar/same top right corners, I knew it was the pic.

Had me wondering for a minute though how that card graded so high with a border like that!

By using discounted present value statistical models, I estimate the AH estimated total worth of these cards is somewhere around $665,000,000 more or less. They are unspeakably grand.

I'm with you on this one....Where are the 19th century, one of a kind cards?!? I see these post war cards monthly from Heritage, Goldin, heck......even PWCC has offered cards of this caliber.

It is a great collection, just not something over the top for me.
