Default Help ID'ing Boston & Detroit Players

Could use some help identifying this Boston Red Sox pitcher by noted photographer Bob Dorman along with these 1927 Tigers by Detroit photographer Edwin Stephan. I believe the Tigers image shows Merv Shea on the right shaking George Moriarity's hand however I'm not sure and certainly no expert. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--Tim.

Is the catcher Clyde Manion?

Here's a career minor leaguer named Walter Newman who was around during that time. Looks pretty close to the guy shaking hands, but it also looks a bit like Hooks Dauss. Do you have an exact date for the photo?

The second guy (above) has a cleft chin. I don't believe anyone in the photo has that particular anomaly (except possibly the guy at far left).

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

I'm guessing based on the uniform design, facial features (cleft chin in particular), and righty delivery, that the Sox player could be Hugh Bedient 1912. Again, just a guess.
