Default Where to grade pins?

I've got these two Federal League booster pins (had hoped to track down the "Rebels" version, but keep finding "Federals" ones instead).
Any tips on how to get them graded/encapsulated?

I reached out to PSA through their online form, and they said they wouldn't be able to authenticate or grade them. And I emailed Beckett and SGC, and they said they didn't do pins.

Why not grade them yourself, and encapsulate in a Riker Case or Display Box?

That would display a lot nicer than a slab anyway.

Agree 100%.

That said, I have definitely seen PSA graded pins. Are you telling me they have actual guidelines????

Yeah, I guess that's where I had it in my head that I would get these graded, as I had seen other baseball pins graded by PSA. Evidently there are only certain types (maybe sets with players, as opposed to fan/booster pins).

Ah well, I'll go the old way then. Thanks

If you are keeping it long term for your own collection slab it/protect it/display yourself as mentioned prior.
IF you intend to flip it for a profit it is best to be graded (as most non collectors like things graded) and allows for a big group of potential buyers.
Also depending on the value the cost to grade it may not be worth it.

Great Piece

Congrats

I have never seen pins graded that were not part of a known set. For example, I have seen Our National Game pins, 1956 Topps Pins, and 1910-1912 Sweet Caporal pins all slabbed.
From what I can tell, I have only seen one PM 10 pin slabbed and that is a Ted Williams.
Here is the link to PSA's pop report for pins. I did not search every link, but I did not see any generic team pins from any league in the report. The Williams I noted above is the only PM10 listed as slabbed

Hope this helps.

I've also seen Cracker Jack Pins slabbed.

But every dealer prices them 8 - 10 times higher than normal just because of the slab. It's beyond preposterous, and these slabbed Pins just sit stagnant for years, without ever selling. It all seems so pointless.

Vintage pinback buttons are so cool. I'd hate to see widespread grading and slabbing of them.

And lets not forget Yellow base path....
But as to the posters question I have collected pins for many years and your 2 pins would be a total waste of money to even consider slabbing. Condition isnt that great my guess a 2-4 and the money to slab them (I dont think they would) would far out weigh what you would get back. Enjoy them raw and save yourself alot of cost......

Agree. The grade wouldn’t be great and we don’t need an “expert” to tell us that. That’s why we have eyes. Pretty much how I feel about all grading.
