Wow, awesome, Dan. so for how many years did they issue this design (looks like these are 1910, whereas Ruth's is 1914). do you have different years? tell us more, very intriguing.

Yes there are 3 different issues but only 2 dfferent years:

1910 Eastern League Orioles
1914 International League Orioles (This contains the Ruth)
1914 Federal League terrapins

They are very rare and it has been forever since I added one to my collection.

I now have 48 total out of the 3 sets

The 5 beaters were sold by my dad in the 1980s for $35 each to a local Baltimore collector. The collector must have picked up the 2 nicer ones over the years. I have been trying to get the 5 back ever since.

Great looking cards! Got to love the classic ball names like "Lefty", "Heavy" and Clancy!

Very impressive Dan! They would be far more popular to collect and discussed here if they were more available. (not saying they aren't popular, just that they don't get their due print because so few have them)

No doubt. Many series are so scarce they don't get much attention. That is a drawback of collecting the really scarce ones. Great cards Dan....and my only one....(shown many times, but it's all I have?)

Very well stated and I hope they stay not popular! Otherwise Dan would not be able to collect them.

I can tell you they cost me a heck of alot more than dad sold them for and I also had to broker a huge deal for the owner on another card!

Thanks for all of the very kind words and yes, it feels like they are back where they belong.

This collecting is almost like work!

But as Leon can confess! We LOVE IT!!!!

Enjoy collecting!
Dan

Best,

I will NEVER let him off the hook for selling the 2 Babe Ruth's Val. One for $1000 to a West Coast Lawyer and one for $8K.

I don't know how he sleeps at night knowing he beat that West Coast lawyer out of $1K for that Babe Ruth Schedule card.

Babe Ruth in a Baltimore uniform, no sorry Val, selling that was just DUMB!

And man do I beat him up for it!

Dan,

I would love to see all 48 cards. I have only seen a couple of these. It would be great to see that many.
