Default It's not often that I see one of these,

but when I do I stop and admire it for close to an hour. Came across this on eBay this morning. Not mine. Not trying to sell. Not trying to out. (It's a BIN) Just wanted to say there is something about this card/premium that just knocks my socks off. Beautiful f'n item you don't see often.

Ha, never noticed that. I also remember Leon's, was it not a different version if I remember?

This was actually not a series but just the one card of Ruth put out by Pathe Freres,a phonograph company. I believe it was in conjunction with release of a record on which Babe describes his hitting etc. In actuality, the recording is not of Ruth but an actor portraying him.

I was rooting for you with mine but someone else wanted it a bit more. You know the financing wasn't going to be an issue. These Pathe's come around approx. every 3-5 yrs.. There will be another. I do love the pose and always did. BTW, for the completists out here there are 2 different backs so you will need both of them.
