Default I just wish the TPGs knew this series better.....

Yes, I have harped about it before, and it's not a huge problem, but both of these W501s are identified incorrectly on the flips. W501s are true strip cards (imo) and W575-1s aren't. But that is Mr. Burdick's doings.... W501s can usually be identified by their jagged edges at top and bottom.....

And some W575-1s which are now incorrectly labeled as hand cut by SGC...That said, in their defense, they said they will revisit the idea of these not saying hand cut. I just haven't bothered getting them corrected yet.

Leon, I share your pet peeve that the TPGs and many/most dealers can't seem to tell the difference between a W575-1 card and a W501 Type 2 card. Rhett Yeakley described the differences in his fabulous article about the E121 and related sets that appears in Issue #26/Fall 2011 of Old Cardboard Magazine. And, it really surprises me that OC has not reflected Rhett's info re the W501 Type 2 cards in its write up for the W501 set: http://www.oldcardboard.com/w/w501/w...?cardsetID=809
