Default My biggest regret.........

Anyone here buy the 1921 American Caramel lot on eBay which included at least 3-4 Ruths and other HOFs from an antique consignment seller on eBay. I think the lot went for like 2500 but was poorly titled. there were over 50 cards in the lot. I'm sure the buyer made out handsomely!

It's funny, but we always remember the loses more then the win's. I was the under-bidder and it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Thanks for reminding............really appreciate it .

Lovely Day...

I regret not throwing up in 1909 and being a huge pirates fan.

Being a Pirates fan for the last 30 years makes me want to throw up almost everyday. I dont think doing it back in 1909 would feel any better

Default "I regret not throwing up in 1909 and being a huge pirates fan"

is this statement a bizarre "freudian slip"
or,
are those two separate thoughts?

I don't believe the "live life with no regrets" comment because deep down we all regreat something. I'll be honest, I regret a few trades I made, partially because I still miss the cards I sold. It's so much easier to buy than to sell...

lol. My brother was drafted by the Pirates - first time I threw up because of them. That was back in the Syd Thrift days.

I'm an Astros fan, so we can throw up on each other.

(edited to make my post somewhat useful): I regret not buying that huge HOF'er Van Oeyen lot about seven years ago. Someone on the board was nice enough to PM a reminder about it, and I did gag a little.

To clarify my statement. I would want to be a pirates fan from 1909-11 and invest highly in tobacco products then switch my patronage to another team.

I have your brothers card, I think it was 1988 Augusta set, not 100% sure off-hand
