i was going thru ebay pre-30's this morning and found what i am 99.9% certain was a legit hoblitzell t205 no stats, with 3 bids at $1.75! after a bit of studying and pondering i was sure it was real. i went to the feedback of the seller which was 6, but sure read legit, and then i went to see who else was on it and the damn auction was ended early, someone must have made this guy an offer that seemed to good to be true!

Was this the one that had the story about finding the card inside of some antique car(s) found at a flea market (paraphrasing story... dont remember the exact details)?

Just curious as I saw that one and passed, as I'm sure others did as well, based upon the story and low feedback.

Because of the low feedback and model car story, I wouldn't have bid on it either, but I'm sure it was a bargain if it's real.

Hate to say it but am pretty sure it is a reprint. The back looks too sharp and black. Hassan backs are not black like it showed. I asked him for scans and colors and where exactly he got the card three seperate times in the two auctions...no response to any. The auction was pulled off ebay twice as well.

I am also aware that hoblitzell no stats are not reprinted often but I know for a fact that they were at one point.

If the card arrives and is graded I will be shocked. I would also love to know the factory number listed and the true color of the back.

Good luck.
