Default Goudey find

I've finally struck my first luck since I started collecting.

My girlfriend called me earlier this evening. SHe had to leave the state to help her mother pack up her grandfathers belongings as he passed away a few weeks back. They were going through his junk boxes in the basement and found a box that contained cards mixed in with old photographs. She calls me and says that she found "a ton of those cards like you have, the ones that say big league chew." and after her explaining alittle more , I realized she found a bunch of Goudeys. She didnt have time to tell me the players or any of the sort, but she said there were lots of baseball and boxing. So, fingers crossed that they are real because she's bringing them home to me next week.

note iwonthewagner has beef with me since I called out kimpossible, so i appologize that he's using my name to post annoying messages.

Well, if I ever write a novel I'll be sure to keep it as far from the forum as humanly possible. I didn't know it was a crime for me to post a find since I've seen similar posts. My appologies.

How on earth did you not ask her who was in there? Never in a million years would I have had that kind of patience or restraint.

"Ton" is a nice word to hear in a situation like this. I doubt that it's 2,000 lbs worth of Goudeys but a couple hundred or more sure wouldn't be bad. Yes, definitely tell us more when you know!

Thanks, I'll get some scans as soon as she flies back. When she says "a ton" i'm sure she meants like 10-15. She hates my cards, so i'm lucky she didnt just toss them out haha

with "iownthewagnmer," and then realized his mistake, and--you can't REMOVE a post, you know! All you can do is delete what you said, and maybe say something to full up the empty space under your name!

You'll note his posts are edited by Leon. It's too bad that some people own computers like Harry. Thank you Leon for keeping on top of the nonsense posts.
