Give the beautiful scans on Show and Tell a chance to do their thing.
Hold back and say it here.

This thread has been created for all those that have a statement of some kind, or the Third Kind.

Pro or Con the gladiators.
Choosing sides.
Peacemakers.
Old grudges.
Disclaimers.
Just passing through.
Superiority complex.
Inferiority complex.
Three different names like Eve.
Nine like Sybil.
Thin skin.
Thick skin.
Ever see this one?
I didn't know that?
My card can beat your card.
Throw the stone and hide the hand.

For Gods sake, give those beautiful scans a chance and if you fit any of the
above categories -- Bring it here!

But tomorrow, i will tell you why you chose the phrase "Nine like Sybil," and a strange story of an SBC ad.

Hi all,

So many nice cards recently shown. Which do I like best?

I wish my work environment was just a little more like FatBoys.

Although Jay's Col. Roosevelt was striking, and Judge Dred's P.T. Barnum looked fantastic, these are not baseball cards. So, although there are many others which I like, my favorite is Ben's Texas Tommy Mack. Now he has a record which is unlikely to be beaten: 3000+ wins and 4000+ losses (that can't be right). Makes Cy Young's accomplishments pale in comparison.

My guess about "Nine like Sybil," and my SBC story don't have anythimg to do with baseball cards. I'm waiting for someone's permission to spill them.

The whole Dockman Wild West Gum set is really quite good looking and next to the large A&G Indian Chief set, is my favorite set featuring Indians. When you consider it's a "caramel" issue and compare it to the Dockman baseball cards and other similar sets, these really are georgeous cards and makes you wonder why they couldn't have done as good a job with the baseball cards.

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

I thought about adding a hissin & pissin category, but after re-thinking it, I felt that the inferiority complex and thin skin category covered that area.

One would think that instead of hissin over a Ted Williams chapstick, David - hankron - DR. Cycleback - etc etc etc, would be deep in his research of the history and population of all the major tobacco cards in the world as he promised that he might do.
To say that it is an awesome undertaking, is a weak and lame understatement.
The attention getter would be beyond his wildest dream.

TN did a great job on the T207's with what he had.

Does one get an LOA from TW with that chapstick?
