Default Piece of Munson plane

https://www.proxibid.com/asp/LotDeta...26709#topoflot

Sold for $600... I'm curious whether it's actually a piece of his plane, pretty sad if someone fakes it. But in all the photos it shows the whole plane burnt down to the frame.

Absolutely Ghoulish, There was a similar auction of Clemente's plane debris as well that the Clemente family was able to derail.

Along similar lines, there have been a couple eBay auctions that got shut down in short order over the years that were for the sale of pieces of Gordon Smiley's Indy Car in which he was fatally injured. Smiley's fatal crash at Indianapolis is well known in racing for how brutal the crash was and how the car absolutely disintegrated upon impact.

I have been a huge racing fan my whole life and I remember seeing posts on a couple different racing boards over the years about how disgusting it was to see such a thing up on eBay.

this is similar to selling a tombstone and if no one would ever buy items like this they would never come up for auction.

If you look at the photos from the crash, it sure doesn't look like that piece could have come from it. That plane was really burned and that piece doesn't even look damaged. Just sayin....
