Default Bat Question. help please

Hi all:

I just posted this on the pickups, but for those who didn't see it, can people provide me w appx age, value, etc for this bat? I think its really cool. Says 27 under branding in center. its a child size, maybe 27 inches? top of bat is totally flat, not rounded like regular bats.

I may want to sell it on the Net in future, and regardless, a good idea of info/value would help. THANKS IN ADVANCE. Scott.

Scott,

Your bat is a Goldsmith model, probably from the 20's. If the barrel end is flat, it was probably cut down, as Goldsmith bats of this type typically had rounded ends. Is the end level or angled? Is it damaged? More pics would help but based on your information I'd say the value would be in the $50 range.

John
