Law Suits
There have been some people that doubted what Richard said on 54 about the lawsuits filed against him and others.
Well for all of those who are interested Here are the ones that I could find. Bellino vs Simon and Spence http://www.docstoc.com/docs/16266762/BELLINO-V-SIMON Frangipani vs HBO, PSA, Simon and Spence http://www.sportscollectorsdaily.com...angipani-suit/ Remember when you get sued you have to pay your own defense attorney.I know for a fact that it was in the five figure range for both of them. Hbo was much higher. Last edited by shelly; 04-12-2013 at 02:31 PM. |

I think anyone that's been on this board for awhile knows that Richard has been sued at least a couple of times, and I don't believe anyone here want's him or Chris to put themselves in a position to get sued again over a autograph debate. With that said, I don't think it's unreasonable to put a name to a forger (like forger X) and then give the rest of us this magical tell so that we can also help protect the hobby and ourselves. I know they don't want to give out this information because lurkers may correct their tells and create a better product, but if one tell is the only thing stopping a Babe Ruth autograph from fooling the experts , then I won't be investing in one anytime soon.
