T206 Jake Atz?

I can't quite figure this one out and I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing. There's an auction ending on Ebay in about 20 minutes for a T206 Jake Atz - it's packaged in one of the Topps 206 holders with a Piedmont 350 reverse. Here's the thing - it's going for over $120.00 currently with 9 bidders??? In my opinion it would grade a PSA 3 or 4 at the most. I won a Topps packaged T206 Tannehilll a few months back in the same shape and payed like $28.00?

Why all the fuss for the Atz?

There are a handful of people that collect the Topps buybacks. Perhaps yours wasn't advertised as such, or the main competitors for those cards already had the one you have.

Knowing that there are people out there that just go crazy for them, I put a Tinker Batting Topps Buyback on ebay with a BIN of $400. And someone purchased it. The card was in maybe Good condition, with a spot of paper loss and some creasing. I used that money to buy myself an SGC 40 Tinker and some other T206 cards I needed.

...good to know. I was contemplating breaking my Tannehill out of the Topps Buyback holder but perhaps I'll hold on to it for a while.
