Default Can anyone help identify these cards?

Hello all,

I picked up these four cards, but I can't find any information about them. Does anyone know what year and manufacturer these are? Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

No idea on manufacturer, but the players are from the 1952 Ogden Reds of the Pioneer League, a class C team. That was the only year Capece was there, he gave up pro ball after that season. ETA, 1952 is the only year that all four of them played for the Ogden Reds at all.

These cards appear to be from the 1952 Ogden Reds Team Issue set....the images appear to match the description offered in the SCD VBC.

I noticed that! It was close enough that I will burn today's challenge and have Leon review the play to see if he can overturn the placement of the posts.

Per the Standard catalog, these 1952 cards are from "one of many minor league team sets issued by Globe Printing of San Jose, CA, in the early 1950's. Cards were usually given away at the ballpark on a one-per-week or one-per-homestand basis, accounting for the rarity of surviving sets."

Update on this post...I ended up sending one of the cards in to PSA and received a 7 NM on it. It is indeed a 1952 Ogden Reds Team issue (thanks again for everyone’s help on this). On the PSA pop report, it is the only card graded ever in this entire set. I’ll try to post a picture of the card later this week for anyone that’s interested.

Congrats on a great pickup. I sold a card from this set in poor condition this past year for a pretty decent price. A very scarce team from the Globe Printing series that rarely comes up for sale.

Thanks Adam. I had no idea how rare these were until I started researching them recently. Do you have a scan of the card you sold? Which player was it?

Also, as promised, see picture below of the card I just got back from PSA.

Looks great! Too bad PSA misspelled his name.

The card was of Carl Wells. Unfortunately, I no longer have a scan of it. Here's a pic from Ebay of a much nicer example of the same card:
