Agreed. Think of what people went through during the "Cold War" with Russia as students had to do Nuclear Bomb drills in school "Duck and Cover".

Agreed. Was in Hawaii 2 weeks ago and this would have instilled panic for sure. Glad all is ok.

Prior to getting a newer Samsung phone I was unaware of such a thing as a "Presidential Alert"! All the other alerts can be manually turned off but not that one

Hawaii Gov. David Ige told CNN that human error caused the alert to go out.
"It was a mistake made during a standard procedure at the change over of a shift, and an employee pushed the wrong button," he said



So there you have it.
