Default T206 SGC to PSA Question

I have a T206 Christy Mathewson Dark Cap Sweet Caporal 350 Factory 25 SGC 40 3. I have two questions:

1. Is it worth crossing over from SGC to PSA from a value perspective?

2. Will this card get a PSA 3 grade even though it has a crease at top border down to his left eye?

Thanks in advance.

Rob

My recommendation is to send it one time as a crossover with min grade 2.5. If it doesn't cross, keep in SGC.

Oh, what a difference a year makes.

Beautiful card, but I don't think it will cross to a 3. Maybe 2-2.5 due to the crease. Who knows though, grading is as subjective as it gets...good luck!

Crapshoot at best. Probably a 2.5, but depends on the grader. A PSA 3 allows for a crease, but it doesnt guarantee anything.

Say you get a 2.5, is the value going up enough (if at all) to warrant the trouble? More importantly, that black border makes those rich colors pop in a way that a clear holder does not. I would just as soon send it in for a re-holder with the new black flip. Just my 2 cents.

You make a good point. I do like the black border on the SGC holders. I will leave in the current holder and may consider getting the new SGC holders down the road once they get settled in with their new system and site.

Been going on for years.
I would leave the card in question alone .
