Not new pick ups, but Just got these fresh back from SGC today! Pretty excited, grades are spot on what I thought they should be and all b/w cards look great with the black inserts imo!

The Ruth/Matthias/Merkle RPPC dates to 1925-26(years Merkle was Yankee) and is one of the new favorites of my collection. Likely 1925 when he appeared in 7 Yankees games vs. only 1 game in 1926.

Also very excited to add a new Headin Home Ruth to the collection, despite how hammered this one is! "Bijou theatre Dec 8" is written in pen on the back. (Under the pencil scribbles)

Thanks! I love it (you have some amazing ones too!) I've never seen any other sort of card type item with Brother Matthias. Also has wife Helen in it too with some other unknowns and Xavarians.

Default Another T206 off the list

Had another really enjoyable deal with a fellow board member. Even better, we were able to put together a rare old-fashioned trade for this very nice Vic Willis.

Today was more about quantity than quality as I continue to try and build my vintage collection. As most know, I just started collecting vintage late in the fall of 2017 and have since sold off all of my modern stuff with the exception of my PCs, which will be going out the door (hopefully) soon.

As for today's mail day, I got the 71s in a deal with northview, some of the 62s in a trade over on SCF and some other 62s as well as the Kaline in a trade on here with shortmail.

I'm now up over 450 different 1971s, over 200 different 62s (with 60+ more on the way now) and about 50 cards shy of finishing my '74 set.

Thanks to everyone for the set/vintage collection help.

He actually wasnt a bad pitcher; had a career 2:1 win loss ratio. Too bad his pitching career was short.... imagine what he could have done...

Thinking about doing an HOF E121 & related series master back run, and between this Haffner's Bread Speaker (thanks Brian), my D327 Holsum Bread Cobb and my E121 series of 80 Ruth (both pictured), seems I am off to a decent start -- anyone got one for sale or trade?

Ryan, you are certainly off to a good start in your quest. Although there are several back variations for the E121/80 cards, you already have one of the tough ones - your Ruth has a Type 1 back, which is the easiest back, except when, like yours, the back printing reads from bottom to top, instead of from top to bottom.
