Default 1880's Baseball Cabinets

Posted By: Dan Bretta

I just got these photos in the mail today. The back of one of them is labeled "Americus Club". They are obviously baseball related as one fellow is holding a bat and another is holding a glove. I am wondering what type of value photos like this have? The photos are approx 9" x 7" on heavy stock...I couldn't fit the whole cabinet on my scanner and they came out a bit blurry.

I used to own a trophy baseball from the Americus club. I'm trying to remember where they were from but I think it was New Jersey. Not that many guys are in uniform, and there are so many people in each photo- looks like spectators mixed with players. These photos are generally not too expensive, although some collectors like them. The larger format (bigger than a traditional cabinet) is a plus.
