Would this coupon also work on an accepted "best offer" or just BIN?

It should work on BO...just use code at checkout. I'm waiting on a response for a BO I placed. Fingers crossed it gets accepted within the next 10 hours!

Not to get too far into the weeds on this, but this 20% coupon can net you FREE money if there isn't something you're interested in buying.

Imagine this scenario:

You have an item listed with BIN for $500.
You have your friend/spouse buy the item for $500.
Using the 20% coupon, (s)he pays only $400.
You pay eBay and paypal fees of approximately 13% on the $500 BIN price = $65.
You "ship" the card for free.

At this point, you've netted $35 for doing absolutely nothing.
Add in any eBay bucks, eBates promotions, and credit card cash back on the $400 purchase price, and now you're looking at another $4 to $16+ depending on the rewards programs you have.

$39-$50+ of free money.

Then when you list the card again no one will buy it because they think something shady is going on

good point. But if you list a whole bunch of crappy DVDs from your garage and have no intention of actually selling them, you could do this strategy.

I'm not saying it's the honest thing to do (cheating eBay), but it is something I figured out as I was working out a deal with someone here on Net54 who has something I want and had listed on eBay. I figured we would both be better off with a BIN vs. a negotiated price outside the 'Bay (we each made about $15 to $20 by utilizing the eBay coupon vs. transacting outside the 'Bay).

Then the wheels started spinning...

I did the same thing several weeks ago. The discount was for the eBay ap only. I added a card to my cart and went to the ap to finish the transaction. I forgot to put the code in.

Also works cumulatively if your purchases total at least $50, and can be across multiple sellers. Just have to get everything loaded up in your cart and pay all at once with Paypal.

Somewhat early candidate for off-topic post of the year.

I hate when the putter misbehaves. Let me know if the TM Spider comes trained. I need something to go with the old Billy Baroo.

You sniped the savings, nicely done. I saved around 17 bucks on 100 doggie bully bones.

I added about ten 1962 7th Series cards. I saved about $35 after subtracting the cost of the Jim Duffalo card I mistakenly added to my cart from two different sellers.
