Default Long Beach Coin Expo

Went today. Mark McCrae had about 200-T206's that were raw, along with graded ones also. Show continues tomorrow and Saturday. If you're on the West Coast like me, this is it. Only show around.

I have had my ticket for a month, been excited to go. My kid came home sick yesterday. Dad is stuck in the house.

I got to see the 30 million in gold bullion that was found in some shipwreak. I was joking around and saying it was fake and made in China. Surprised that no one came in with AR-15's.

I wonder if finds like that with precious metals hurt the value of them like it would with ball cards. Of course I am not talking a find of rare backs or obscure series.

Probably not. There's just not that much gold out there.

Here's an interesting article

http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-21969100

I dabble a tiny bit in metal as I was a coin collector as a boy. I generally give a current year Silver Eagle to anyone I know who has a baby.

I am not about to go deep into metal...it's just a fun thing, but if I were, palladium would be my choice.

That’s a post war card? I’m looking at the one in the upper center of the case surrounded by the three Sanella’s. It’s black and white and shows him swinging.

Thanks.

And the coins from finds like that don't suffer at all. If anything the ones from the find sell for more then the non- find ones, and all the others get a boost from the publicity etc.
