Default A start for Joann/Detroit Tiger bookends

Posted By: joe

Joann, here is a start for the memorabilia board.

These are 3 sets of bookends for the Detroit Tigers 2 sets are from the Navin Stadium seats. The other was produced by a company in Romulas Michigan for the 1934 Championship team. Have never seen the 1934 item anywhere else.

I haven't seent those before. Very cool. (Needless to add, but I will anyway, that such bookends need to belong to a book collector )

Default A start for Joann/Detroit Tiger bookends

Hey, Joe. Earlier this year I picked up one of these. I use mine as a door-stop. (I think when someone sells a pair, they're called book-ends, and when someone sells one individually it's called a door-stop.)

What about doorstops for both your front and back door?

Max, if I ever sell them I will let you know. Aaron, yes used as doorstops also, here are 2 more. I think these were more modern made from original modes.

Joe

What are the dimensions on these? There's one on ebay now (buy it now at $325 or best offer), posted image below. Is there anyway to tell whether a bookend/doorstep is vintage or a later casting?

Thanks

Max

Aaron, is the Tiger Doorstop flat on the back or embossed just like the front is? Send me an email to JMAPLES0871@CHARTER.NET if it is embossed on the back side.
