Ogdens Vardon Hilton Golf cards rare?
Hi Folks,
Came across this pair of cards recently while chasing cricketers cards from the same set , nominally called Cricketers and Sportsmen. Released by Ogdens Cigarettes about 1900. There are 36 cricketers and 14 other athletes, including 3 golfers (Vardon, Hilton and Laidley). The cricketers are not easy to find, so I figure the golfers will also be well sought after, especially in the USA. Any ideas on values, because I haven't been able to find any sales of the golfer cards in my searches? I also believe that rarer cards sold in the USA it is beneficial to have them professionally graded for best price? Graded cards are not so popular in Australia. Any advice appreciated.
