jay behrensIf Guy Hecker had any sort of longevity, he might have made it into the HOF and certainly belongs in any discussion about greatest player ever. He was both a top nothc hitter and pitcher. Check out these tidbits from his career:

In 1884 set the record for wins(52), complete games(72) and innings pitched(671), while leading his team in batting and HRs
Pitche 7 game in 15 days, winning 6 and hitting .657 (23/35) during that stretch. The big day in that run was the second game of a double header when he went 6 for 7 with 3 HRs, 2 doubles and 7 runs score (still the record).
First major league pitcher to hit 3 HRs in a game
Became the first 1B to play an entire game without a fielding chance.
