Default Mantle Ball Opinion

Hi,

These two pictures were sent to me from a "baseball memorabilia" wanted ad I posted. Any thoughts on the authenticity of the Mantle autograph. I know the clarity is not the best and I'm no expert on autographs. Thanks so much - Michael

The guy that that has this ball actually has 2 that he claims he watched Mantle sign. He says his grandma knew Mantle well. The balls are very close to Mantle's hometown so there may be some validity to the story............did I mention it's only a $100 gamble?? Is it worth that??

The guys only about 45 min away from me so I'm going to check em out in person. My only concern is the M and a in Mantle. I can't tell if they are connected in a deliberate fashion or not. Everyone seems to believe Mantle didn't purposely connect the two. I should get a better opinion in person. Thanks again for the info.
