Default What are your 5 favorite cards of all-time?

I am curious and would like to see other's list of their favorite all-time cards. I am NOT talking set, issue, team, player, etc. and value had NOTHING to do with my question. Year, make and player are what I am looking for. PC's, strip, cabinet, or whatever as "what is a card" is not the debate here either as for the sake of argument if you call it it a card, then its a card on this thread. Put them in order, or don't. I think I'd roll out:
* 1914 CJ Matty
* 1869 Peck and Snyder CDV Cinci with the P/S ad back
* 1903 B/W Wagner
* 1910 Sepia 796 Cobb/Wags (I HAD to include this)
* 1903 B/W Matty

I guess I am a little Matty biased? He looks like a downright stud on his rookie card. Mine are not in any order and #6 would probably be the Mello-Mint Matty. Any opinions?

Too tough of a list, but I've always been in love with the '34 Gehrig yellow background (such a gorgeous card) and my favorite T206 is Pattee, love the background. I hope to own either someday.

a few choices.....and I don't own most of these nor does value really play a role.

1. 1914 Baltimore News Ruth
2. 1911 T205 Cobb
3. 1893 Just So Cy Young
4. 1916 D381 Wagner
5. 1910 E90-1 Young - Boston

On any given day the last 2 of those could change for me. I doubt the top 3 would change.

1) 1970 Bench - great photo, huge glove;
2) 1967 Mantle - best head shot on any card, one of the first cards I remember getting in a wax pack, my dad bought the pack for me from Sal's Stationary store in Stamford CT after church at St. Mary's on a sunday;
3) T206 Magee - love the color;
4) 1969 Chamberlain - awesome card, Wilt is a monster;
5) 1953 Topps Dizzy Trout - are you kidding me?

The 1957 Topps Mantle is the perfect baseball card.

For pre-war I've got to go with CJ Jackson.

1. 1887 Kalamazoo Bats Pittsburgh Alleghenys team card N693
2. OJ Ewing/Mascot
3. E90(or others) Oakes
4. OJ Whitney/Dog
5. T206 Leifield pitching
6. E92 Bridwell

Just going by looks here, not cards that are ones I have that I wouldn't get rid of, because there is a big difference between that list and these(Ewing/Mascot is the only one on both). The top 5 are my favorite cards, added the Bridwell for the top five favorite looking cards I have. For some reason I haven't picked up that Pittsburgh team card yet...guess I'm just being lazy

I love the diversity in choices that have been posted. I'd have to add, in no particular order, 6-10 on my list:

*1952 Topps J Robinson
*BN Ruth
*OJ Ewing/mascot
*CJ Chance
*e105 Matty

The more time I collect vintage I find myself looking at Matty and Chance cards more often. Mathewson just looks like a ball-player should, ya know?Keep 'em coming!

John-you probably just couldn't decide what grade Pittsburgh K-Bat you wanted. I would suggest holding out for a PSA6, the 5s and below show up all the time.

I think it's very interesting that 75 percent of the threads on this board seem to be about t206s but they certainly don't dominate the lists of favorite cards of all time. Many lists contain no t206s.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, perhaps.

Default current top 5

Here are my current top 5 "of all time";

Ironically the CJ Clarke came from the OP via BST. His enthusiasm for CJ's was contagious and he gave me a great deal on my first.

Vic Willis came from Marc Del P just a few weeks ago.
